We have all heard that song “Buy Dirt” by Jordan Davis and Luke Bryan. It just hits a real sweet spot lately. We started with 3 acres thinking the land would be for our businesses-our home build office, and photography studio along with all our storage. We dreamt of chickens, and a few other animals over time. Fast forward a couple years later, on our 7th wedding anniversary, we brought up the idea of buying more “dirt,” and building our own home. Within a few weeks in 2021, we added 2 more acres to our names, and began big plans. Last year at Thanksgiving our dream house was being framed, and here we are about to spend our first Thanksgiving in this home. The home behind our new name, Farmhouse Garden. Over the years have gone through times that were hard, times that we pulled late nights, times we had full time jobs while owning a business on the side, and times not knowing if “the dream” would happen. We finally hit a sweet spot in life, where we decided “why not?,” “Why not try something to bring joy, rather than a stress?” It’s time to give it a shot with this dirt we bought. Flowers just feel right, so let’s go for it. If anything, it will be special just for us ,if nothing else. “Cause the truth about it is, it all goes by real quick. You can’t buy happiness, but you can buy dirt.” Here we grow, y’all!
